3-Day Armenian Adventure: History, Culture & Nature
This itinerary is designed for those with limited time who want to experience the highlights of Armenia.

Transportation:
- Taxis: Readily available in cities, negotiate fares beforehand.
- Marshrutkas (Minibuses): Affordable and frequent, connecting major towns and villages.
- Rental Cars: Recommended for exploring remote areas but be aware of mountainous roads.
Currency: Armenian Dram (AMD). Credit cards accepted in most establishments but carry cash for smaller vendors and markets.
Day 1: Yerevan - History & Culture
- Morning: Explore Republic Square, the heart of Yerevan, with its dancing fountains and historical buildings. Visit the History Museum of Armenia to delve into the country’s rich past.
- Afternoon: Stroll through Vernissage Market, a vibrant open-air market overflowing with handcrafted souvenirs, carpets, jewelry, and artwork.
- Evening: Enjoy a traditional Armenian dinner with live music at The Tavern. Savor dishes like khorovats (grilled meat), lavash bread, and dolma (stuffed grape leaves).
Things to Know:

Day 2: Mount Ararat & Echmiadzin - Faith & Nature
- Morning: Take a day trip to the majestic Mount Ararat, Armenia’s national symbol (visible from Yerevan on clear days). Visit the Noravank Monastery nestled amidst stunning red cliffs.
- Afternoon: Head to Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of Armenian Christianity and home to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Explore the ancient cathedral and surrounding churches.
