Two-Day Taste of Chile: Santiago & Valparaiso
This itinerary offers a glimpse into the vibrant city life and charming coastal beauty of Chile.

Transportation:
- Flights: Santiago International Airport (SCL) is the main hub. Domestic flights are available to Valparaiso and other destinations.
- Public Transport: Santiago has an excellent metro system (Metro de Santiago). Buses are also widely used. In Valparaiso, funiculars offer a unique way to navigate the hills.
- Taxis & Ride-Sharing: Taxis are readily available in cities. Uber and Cabify operate in Chile.

Things to Know:
- Language: Spanish is the official language. English is spoken in tourist areas, but basic Spanish phrases will be helpful.

Day 1: Santiago – Culture & Cuisine

- Afternoon (2:00 PM): Hike up Cerro San Cristobal for stunning panoramic views of the city. Visit the Virgin Mary statue at the summit.

Day 2: Valparaiso – Artistic Charms & Coastal Views
- Morning (9:00 AM): Take a bus from Santiago to Valparaiso (approx. 1.5 hours). Explore the colorful hillside streets of Valparaiso’s historic quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
