5-Day Djibouti Adventure Itinerary
Things to Know:
- Currency: Djiboutian Franc (DJF). US Dollars are widely accepted. ATMs are available in major cities.
- Language: French & Arabic are the official languages. Somali is also commonly spoken.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arriving & Exploring Djibouti City
- Arrive at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport (JIB). Obtain your visa on arrival (if eligible).

- Explore the Djibouti City waterfront: Enjoy the bustling atmosphere, cafes, and views of the Gulf of Tadjoura.

Day 2: Lac Assal & The Grand Bara Desert
- Hire a 4x4 vehicle with a driver for the day trip.
- Travel to Lac Assal, one of the saltiest lakes in the world, situated within a breathtaking volcanic landscape. Hike around the lake and witness its unique salt formations.
- Continue into the Grand Bara Desert, Djibouti’s vast and desolate desert landscape. Witness stunning rock formations, ancient lava flows, and experience the silence and solitude.
Day 3: Diving & Snorkeling in Moucha Island
- Take a boat trip from Djibouti City to Moucha Island, renowned for its pristine coral reefs and abundant marine life.

Day 4: Climbing Mount Moussa Ali & Exploring Tadjoura

Day 5: Departure

- Depart from Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport (JIB).
