Visa Requirements: Most nationalities require a visa to enter Madagascar. You can obtain a visa on arrival at Ivato International Airport (TNR) in Antananarivo, or apply for an e-visa online beforehand.
Transportation: Domestic flights are available within Madagascar, but internal travel is often done by “taxi-brousse” (minibuses) which offer a unique and affordable experience. Renting a car with a driver is also an option for more comfort and flexibility.
Day 1: Arrival in Antananarivo & Cultural Immersion
- Morning: Arrive at Ivato International Airport (TNR) and transfer to your accommodation in Antananarivo.
- Afternoon: Explore the historic center of Antananarivo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Rova of Antananarivo (Queen’s Palace), the sacred hill of Ambohimanga, and the bustling markets like Analakely Market for souvenirs and local crafts.
- Evening: Enjoy dinner at a traditional Malagasy restaurant and experience local cuisine like “Romazava” (beef and leafy greens stew) or “Vary amin’anana” (chicken with coconut milk).
Day 2: Andasibe-Mantadia National Park - Lemur Encounters
- Morning: Take a taxi-brousse to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, renowned for its biodiversity.

Day 5: Relaxation & Departure
- Morning: Relax on the beautiful beaches of Morondava or explore the Avenue of the Baobabs, a stunning alley of giant baobab trees.
- Afternoon: Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

- Currency: Malagasy Ariary (MGA). USD and Euros are also accepted in some tourist areas.
- Language: Malagasy is the official language, but French is widely spoken.
