4-Day Tibet Itinerary: A Taste of the Roof of the World
This itinerary is designed for travelers with limited time who want to experience some of the highlights of Tibet.
Important: This itinerary assumes you are already in China and have obtained all necessary permits for travel in Tibet. Foreign tourists need a special Tibet Tourism Bureau permit and must be accompanied by a guide and driver at all times while in Tibet.
Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa & Acclimatization
- Morning: Arrive in Lhasa, the “City of Sunshine” and Tibet’s capital. Settle into your hotel and take it easy to acclimate to the high altitude (3650 meters above sea level).
