Walk up to Safari World’s gate without a ticket and you will pay close to 1,800 THB; buy the same combo online first and it runs roughly 1,100-1,200 THB for both parks. That single gap decides whether a family day here feels like a bargain or a mistake.
Safari World
A combined drive-through Safari Park and walk-through Marine Park on Bangkok’s northeast edge. The walk-up gate price (around 1,800 THB, ticket only, no transport or buffet) runs dramatically higher than the online combo (roughly 1,100-1,200 THB for both parks); always book ahead here. SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World
In the Siam Paragon basement, official gate price runs around 1,090 THB adult; a combo with Madame Tussauds-style attractions runs about 1,200 THB, cheaper than buying separately at the counter. Book SEA LIFE Bangkok tickets on Viator . SEA LIFE’s own site lists any current special exhibits before you commit to one as the reason for the visit.
KidZania Bangkok
A scaled kids’ role-play city inside Siam Paragon, tiered by age and by weekday versus weekend: roughly 570-1,150 THB for ages 4-14 depending on the day, toddlers 2-3 cheaper, under-2 free. Hours run Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat-Sun and holidays 10:30am-8:30pm. KidZania’s site has the current age-tier pricing.
Dream World: budget a full day, not a stop
In Pathum Thani, about an hour from central Bangkok, a full amusement park across themed zones, open daily 10am-5pm. This is a genuinely bigger commitment than the in-city options above, worth planning as its own day rather than squeezing in alongside KidZania or SEA LIFE. Dream World’s site has current hours.
Lumpini Park, the free counterpoint
Bangkok’s central 142-acre park costs nothing to enter. Genuinely wild monitor lizards, several hundred of them and up to 3 meters long, sun near the lake and are a real kid-magnet curiosity; free pedalo rentals and free daily 5pm outdoor aerobics classes round it out.
The zoo that is not there anymore
Dusit Zoo (Khao Din) closed permanently on 30 September 2018 after roughly 80 years. Khao Kheow Open Zoo, in Chonburi, is a separate, unrelated facility that took in some rehomed animals; it did not become “the new Dusit Zoo” and should never be presented as a current Bangkok attraction under that name.
