Everyone photographs Casa Batllo’s roof and La Pedrera’s chimneys. Fewer visitors realize Barcelona has two more UNESCO-listed Modernista buildings a short walk apart, and one of them is still a working hospital.
Casa Batllo: one solid price, three unstable ones
The Blue or General-Visit floor holds steady at EUR 29 and is the one figure worth planning around. The Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers above it have shown different structures and different prices across checks this year, so treat any specific higher-tier figure as needing a same-day check at casabatllo.es rather than something to lock in months ahead. La Pedrera: three tiers, not one price
Casa Mila, better known as La Pedrera, sells an Essential online-only floor at EUR 25 with no audio guide, a standard daytime visit at EUR 29 that adds the audio guide, and a Night or Sunrise Experience at EUR 39-39.50. All three are current, live tiers, not a stale figure and its correction, so quote whichever matches the visit rather than treating EUR 25 as a discount version of EUR 29. Book La Pedrera and pick the tier before checkout, since the three cover genuinely different visits, not the same tour at three prices.
Palau de la Musica Catalana: two different products, same building
This UNESCO World Heritage concert hall sells a daytime self-guided or guided building visit, roughly EUR 18-24 depending on the option, and separately sells tickets to actual evening concerts, EUR 38-60 and up depending on the programme. Confirm which one a listing covers before booking; a daytime architecture visit and an evening performance are not interchangeable, and palaumusica.cat carries both calendars directly.
Hospital de Sant Pau: Modernisme that still treats patients
Domenech i Montaner’s Modernista hospital complex, a contemporary of Gaudi’s work across town, charges EUR 16 general admission or EUR 20 with an audio guide; reduced rates for residents, ages 12-29 and 65+ run EUR 11.20 or EUR 15.20 with audio, and under-12 is free. Entry is free on the first Sunday of each month plus a short list of specific civic dates each year, though this is a working medical campus alongside the historic pavilions, not a pure museum. santpaubarcelona.org lists the current free dates directly.
Walk Passeig de Gracia between Casa Batllo and La Pedrera to see both without a taxi, then treat Palau de la Musica and Hospital de Sant Pau as a second, separate Modernisme afternoon rather than squeezing all four sites into one day.
