Bruges Guided Tours: Minibus, Walk and Brewery
Choosing a tour
Four kinds of organised tour operate in Bruges: a minibus loop, a guided walk with a boat ride, a horse carriage and an indoor attraction. All start in or beside the centre. The sections below give the practical details of each, so you can choose by budget and time. Prices are the 2026 figures.
Minibus loop
City Tour Brugge runs a narrated minibus circuit that takes 50 minutes. Headsets offer commentary in 16 languages, and tickets are sold on board. Adults pay EUR 25, children aged 6 to 11 pay EUR 20, and younger children ride free. The pick-up point is on the Markt by the Provinciaal Hof. In good weather the roof and windows fold down. From November to January the service is shorter, with a last trip at about 16:00 and a finish by sunset.
The minibus does not stop for hopping on and off, and Bruges has no hop-on hop-off bus service. Details are on the City Tour page at Visit Bruges .
Walk plus boat
A guided walk from City Tours Belgium combines street history with a canal boat trip, and takes about 2.5 hours. The price is EUR 40 per adult, with a praline included. It is arranged in advance, and the guide speaks Dutch, French, German or English. Arrangements are on the Visit Bruges tour page .
Carriage
The carriage ride is a 30-minute loop that ends at the Markt. It is priced per carriage, at EUR 70 for up to five passengers. There are 13 carriages, and they wait on the west side of the Markt near Sint-Amandsstraat; on Wednesday mornings they wait on the Burg instead, because of the market. A short rest stop is made at Wijngaardplein, by the Begijnhof. They go out daily, from about 09:00, and they stay off the streets on days hotter than 30 degrees. See the carriage page .
Canal boat
The 30-minute canal boat is a pay-at-the-stage ride rather than a bookable tour. Adults pay EUR 15 and children from 4 to 11 pay EUR 9. Five stages operate, all with the same route. Boats do not depart from the Markt or from ’t Zand, and no sunset or night cruises exist.
Indoor attractions with tours
- De Halve Maan (Walplein 26): the classic brewery tour takes about 45 minutes and costs EUR 16 with one beer. Reserve ahead, as the brewery has more than 100,000 visitors a year.
- Choco-Story (Wijnzakstraat 2): a museum on three floors with praline demonstrations. It opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00.
- Historium (Markt 1): a staged 1435 experience with optional VR. Check historium.be for current prices.
- Bruges Beer Experience (Breidelstraat 3): a beer museum with 16 draught beers.
