Antwerp Attraction Tours: Fashion, Diamonds, Art
Antwerp is a small city with three big reputations: fashion, diamonds and painting. Each has a museum that explains it, and a short walk between them is enough to see why the city matters. The main attractions are grouped below by theme, so you can choose the one that fits your interest. Prices are in euros.
Fashion at MoMu
The Antwerp Six, a group of designers including Dries Van Noten and Ann Demeulemeester, emerged from the Royal Academy in the 1980s and put the city on the fashion map. MoMu on Nationalestraat tells that story. The museum is open, and its headline exhibition, The Antwerp Six, runs from 28 March 2026 to 17 January 2027. LOOKS, LOOKS, LOOKS is on from 11 July to 8 November 2026. Opening is until 18:00 with last entry at 17:00; see momu.be for tickets.
Diamonds and DIVA
Antwerp trades roughly 84 percent of the world’s rough diamonds through four official bourses, while the cutting and polishing is done mostly in India. DIVA on Suikerrui, near the Grote Markt, shows the history through six themed galleries of jewels, silver and tiaras. Hours and ticket prices are on divaantwerp.be . The diamond district itself, around Pelikaanstraat and Hoveniersstraat, is best seen from the street Monday to Thursday, because many businesses close from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.
Art at KMSKA
KMSKA in Het Zuid holds seven centuries of painting, from Jan van Eyck and Hans Memling to Rubens, and the largest collection of work by James Ensor. Adults pay €20, under-26s €10 and under-18s nothing, and a timed slot is compulsory. It is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, with Thursday evenings until 22:00. Reserve at kmska.be .
Chocolate, migration and the MAS
Chocolate Nation, opposite Centraal station, is open daily from 09:30 to 18:30 and guides you through its themed rooms, finishing with chocolate to taste. Tickets cost about €19.90 for adults. The Red Star Line Museum charts the emigration to America from Antwerp’s docks, with timed online tickets at €10 (€12 during exhibitions) from Tuesday to Sunday. The MAS charges €12 for the museum but opens its rooftop to everyone for free, except on Mondays.
Churches and Rubens
The Cathedral of Our Lady (€12 adults, free under 18) holds The Descent from the Cross and three other Rubens altarpieces. The Rubens House on Wapper has its garden and Rubens Experience open while the historic rooms are restored.
Booking
Passes may help if you plan three or more paid sights: the Antwerp City Pass costs about €45 for 24 hours. If you prefer a guided visit, look at Antwerp tours on GetYourGuide . For a different way to organise the visit, the activities page sorts everything by price.
Tip: book KMSKA in the morning and MoMu in the afternoon.
