If wind or low cloud closes the cableway on your booked day, an online ticket is usable on the next open day within the same booked week, or refundable online; there’s no walk-up guarantee even with a ticket in hand, so check the live status before heading up rather than assuming the booking settles it.
V&A Waterfront

Both are free viewpoints and genuinely among the best free things to do in the city, but they’re also the specific stretch of Table Mountain National Park with a known hiking-robbery problem.
