Every Oxford attraction sells its own tickets, and no single pass covers the colleges. This page sets out the 2026 figures in pounds, so you can sequence a day without surprises.

Christ Church in detail
Tickets are timed and carry a multimedia guide. From 4 October to 12 December 2026 an adult pays £22.95 on a weekday and £24.95 at a weekend. A student pays £20.50 or £22.50, and a child aged 5 to 17 pays £17.50 or £19.50. Under-5s enter free without a guide. Buying ahead online takes £2 off each ticket. Over the Christmas vacation (13 to 31 December) an adult pays £24.95 or £26.95.
The Great Hall closes for lunch from 12:00 to 14:00 on weekdays and from 10:30 to 14:00 on Saturdays, and on Sundays it opens at 14:00. The Picture Gallery has been shut for renovation since 30 April 2026. Bags are limited to 40 x 30 x 20 cm and luggage is not accepted. Closure dates are on the Christ Church known closures page .
Film fans can see the Hall staircase from the first Harry Potter film. The Great Hall was never a film location, although it inspired the Hogwarts hall set.
Bodleian options
The Radcliffe Camera can be entered only on the £30 Radcliffe Camera and City of Oxford Walking Tour, offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 13:30 to 15:30. Plan on about 30 minutes inside followed by a city walk of 60 to 90 minutes. Camera tickets are released online at 09:00 on the first of the month for the month after, and half of the 30-minute tour tickets go on sale only in person at the Weston Library desk on the day. The Bodleian tours page lists the rest. The Divinity School is a filming spot for the Hogwarts infirmary.
College hours
- Magdalen opens daily from 10:00 until dusk or 17:00, or 18:30 from July to September. Concessions pay £9 and a family pays £28.
- New College is open 10:00 to 17:00 daily between 10 March and 31 October. In winter, Monday is closed and the rest of the week runs 11:00 to 15:00 (Saturday 10:00 to 16:30).
- Balliol is open 10:00 to 17:00 or to dusk.
In exam season, from late April to June, colleges close at short notice. Check each college’s visitor page, such as the Magdalen visitor page , the week you travel.
Sheldonian and Castle
The Sheldonian also offers a guided half-hour tour at £14.50 on selected dates. The Castle and Prison is open daily from 10:00 to 17:30.
