Wooden Architecture Thousands of protected wooden villas line the resort. The easiest place to see them is Jomas iela in Majori, a pedestrian street of roughly 1.1 km that has been traffic-free since 1987, with cafes and shops in timber buildings. A bronze Turtle sculpture stands nearby. In Dzintari, the neo-Gothic wooden Morbergs summer-house complex (Dzintaru prospekts 52/54) is a restored, protected monument that visitors admire from the street. For a planned route, the Wooden Architecture Guide from Visit Jūrmala comes with maps.
