Tarzāns and Net Park
Dzintari Forest Park hosts Jūrmala Tarzāns, which lists 98 obstacles across 7 tracks and a 250 m zipline. Beside it, Net Park offers around 600 square metres of rope nets about 6 m up. Operating months run from roughly May to October. Look up prices on the operator’s site . Visitors under 18 need a contract an adult has signed.
The park also has a free viewing tower, about 33.5 m tall, with 12 platforms.
Spa Pools
Sea Wellness, Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA (Jūras iela 23/25, Majori) features a 25 m pool of sea water at 29 to 30 C, cascades, a jacuzzi, a steam bath and salt and cedar saunas. Two hours cost EUR 39 on weekdays and EUR 49 at weekends and holidays, with advance booking and payment.
Wellness Oasis, Hotel Jūrmala Spa (Jomas iela 47/49) charges adults EUR 30 on weekdays for 2.5 hours and EUR 35 at weekends and holidays for 2 hours. Children aged 4 to 12 pay EUR 15. Extra time costs EUR 10 per 30 minutes, and towels are an extra charge. On Saturdays from 15:00 to 18:00, hotel guests get priority.
On Two Wheels
Smooth cycle paths wind through the pines between the settlements. ZLX Bike (Teātra 36, Majori) lists fat-bike hire at about EUR 10 for the first hour, EUR 2.50 for each extra hour and EUR 20 for the day, so confirm before you ride. Firm sand near the water attracts many cyclists, but read local signs.
Sea Notes
Official swimming starts on 15 May. A red flag on the mast bans swimming. The Baltic is cold and stays shallow far from shore, and it has no tides. Surfers will find no breaks, and there is no whitewater or outdoor climbing, though windy days bring windsurfers and kitesurfers.
Arriving
Take a Vivi train to Majori, Dzintari, Dubulti, Bulduri or Ķemeri, as there is no station called Jūrmala. Cars pay EUR 5 per day, year-round, at card-only machines.
