4 days adds Malbork Castle to Gdansk’s Main Town and Sopot core
Days 1-3 repeat the exact 3-day itinerary : the Royal Way, Solidarity and Westerplatte, and a Sopot beach day. Day 4 adds Malbork Castle, the largest brick castle in the world, a roughly 27-minute train ride away. Expect roughly 150-260 PLN a person per day.

Day 1: The Royal Way and the Motława waterfront
Walk the Royal Way from the Golden Gate to the Green Gate, an honest postwar reconstruction of a Main Town left roughly 90% in ruins in 1945. Climb St. Mary’s Church (4-8 zł), browse ul. Mariacka for free, and follow the Motława to the Crane.

Day 2: Solidarity and Westerplatte
Morning at the European Solidarity Centre (around 30 zł) and the free 1970 shipyard monument. Afternoon at Westerplatte, where WWII’s first shots were fired 1 September 1939.

Day 3: Sopot’s beach and pier
SKM to Sopot (about 6.50 zł, 20 minutes). Walk ul. Bohaterów Monte Cassino, see the Crooked House, cross the Molo (around 10 zł, seasonal April-September).

Day 4: Malbork Castle
Take a Regio train from Gdańsk Główny to Malbork (roughly 27 minutes, about 13.50 zł one-way). Malbork Castle, built by the Teutonic Knights and completed in 1406, is the largest brick castle in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997; admission with an audio guide runs about 29.50 zł. Give it a genuine half-day, the complex is large enough that rushing loses most of what makes it worth the trip. Return by the same line in the afternoon.

Confirm the return train time before you start the castle tour, Regio services on this line run roughly hourly, and missing one means a longer wait than most day-trip schedules can absorb.
Getting around on 4 days
Days 1-2 need at most a single ZTM ticket (around 4.80 zł). Day 3 runs on the SKM. Day 4 uses PKP Intercity or Polregio from Gdańsk Główny, buy the ticket at the station or via the Koleo app rather than assuming a walk-up fare matches an online price.
