5 days covers the full Tricity plus Malbork
Days 1-3 repeat the 3-day itinerary core: the Royal Way, Solidarity and Westerplatte, and Sopot. Day 4 adds Gdynia, the Tricity’s third city; Day 5 adds Malbork Castle. Expect roughly 150-260 PLN a person per day.

Day 1: The Royal Way and the Motława waterfront
Walk the Royal Way from the Golden Gate to the Green Gate, a postwar reconstruction of a Main Town left roughly 90% in ruins in 1945. Climb St. Mary’s Church (4-8 zł), browse ul. Mariacka, follow the Motława to the Crane.

Day 2: Solidarity and Westerplatte
Morning at the European Solidarity Centre (around 30 zł), afternoon at Westerplatte, where WWII’s first shots were fired 1 September 1939.

Day 3: Sopot’s beach and pier
SKM to Sopot (about 6.50 zł, 20 minutes). Walk ul. Bohaterów Monte Cassino, see the Crooked House, cross the Molo (around 10 zł, seasonal).

Day 4: Gdynia’s modernist waterfront
SKM continues to Gdynia (about 9.60 zł from Gdansk, roughly 35 minutes). Gdynia’s downtown is intact interwar modernist architecture, since most of it survived WWII, plus the Emigration Museum and a quieter maritime waterfront than Gdansk’s own. Its modernist center is sometimes floated for a future UNESCO listing, treat that as unconfirmed rather than settled fact.

Walk Gdynia’s waterfront promenade before heading back, it’s the least crowded stretch of coast on this whole itinerary and costs nothing beyond the SKM fare already paid.
Day 5: Malbork Castle
Regio train from Gdańsk Główny to Malbork (roughly 27 minutes, about 13.50 zł one-way). Malbork Castle, completed in 1406 by the Teutonic Knights, is the largest brick castle in the world and a UNESCO site since 1997; admission with an audio guide runs about 29.50 zł.

Getting around on 5 days
Days 3-4 both run on the SKM, if you’re stopping in both Sopot and Gdynia across the trip, a 24-hour metropolitan ticket (around 30 zł) can beat buying four separate single legs, run the math against your actual stops before buying it. Confirm the Malbork return schedule before your castle tour starts, Regio trains on this line run roughly hourly and there’s no faster backup once you’ve missed one.
