One of the world’s largest covered, free-flight walk-in aviaries, 20.9 acres in Lake Gardens, home to over 3,000 birds across 200 species. For a full day: Sunway Lagoon
Twenty-five minutes southwest in Petaling Jaya, this 88-acre park runs six zones: a water park with a giant funnel slide and wave pool, an amusement park, a wildlife park, an extreme park, a scream park and a Nickelodeon zone. Open Wednesday to Monday 10:00-18:00, closed Tuesdays. Non-Malaysian adult admission runs RM 220-240, child RM 185-200, a price that only makes sense against a full day, not a couple of hours. Reach it by Grab or LRT to Subang Jaya plus a feeder bus.

Pair Aquaria and Petrosains on the same rainy day since they share a building; save Sunway Lagoon for a day with nothing else scheduled, since the ticket price only earns itself back over several hours. KL Bird Park sits on its own timetable, tied to the morning feeding and midday flight shows, so it works best as a standalone half-day rather than something squeezed between the other three.
