Wroclaw in 7 Days on a Budget (Daily Costs)
A full week in Wroclaw, closing on the cheapest day of the trip
Days 1-4 here are the exact plan in the 4-day itinerary : the Rynek and the dwarf hunt, Ostrów Tumski and Centennial Hall, a Książ Castle plus Świdnica day trip, and a Karkonosze mountain day via Karpacz. Day 5 adds a third day trip to the Table Mountains, Day 6 is a slower museum-and-university day, and Day 7 is a deliberately near-free finish. If a week is more than you need, the 5-day itinerary covers the core plus two day trips. Most days run 120-340 PLN a person; Day 7 is the cheapest of the week.

Day 1: The Rynek and the dwarf hunt
The Rynek, one of Europe’s largest medieval market squares, is free to stand in; the Gothic Old Town Hall houses the City Museum, a separate paid ticket (estimate 20 PLN). Day 2: Ostrow Tumski, Panorama Raclawicka, and Centennial Hall
Ostrów Tumski, the oldest part of the city, is free to walk; the Cathedral’s tower lift is a separate ticket (estimate 10 PLN). Panorama Racławicka (estimate 35 PLN) is a short walk back toward the center. Tram out to Centennial Hall in the afternoon, free to view the dome and Pergola from outside; the Zoo and Afrykarium (estimate 60 PLN) or the Japanese Garden alone (estimate 12 PLN) are separate paid add-ons.

Day 3: Ksiaz Castle and the Swidnica Church of Peace
Książ Castle, Poland’s third-largest castle, sits near Wałbrzych, roughly 70km southwest of Wrocław (verify current travel time); guided tours reach several sections of the WWII-era Project Riese tunnels beneath the grounds. Świdnica’s Church of Peace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001, is a 17th-century timber-framed Lutheran church, roughly 50km from Wrocław.

Day 4: The Karkonosze mountains via Karpacz
Karpacz sits roughly 1.5-2 hours southwest of Wrocław by bus (verify current schedule and fare). Śnieżka, the range’s highest peak at 1,603m, straddles the Czech-Polish border; a chairlift up to Kopa (1,377m) shortens the climb. Day 5: The Table Mountains near Kudowa-Zdroj
Szczeliniec Wielki, the highest point of the Table Mountains (Góry Stołowe) at 919m, is Upper Cretaceous sandstone eroded into rock labyrinths, reached by a roughly 680-step stone stairway from the village of Karłów. The area sits near Kudowa-Zdrój, further from Wrocław than the Karkonosze (verify current travel time and fare), protected within Stołowe Mountains National Park since 1993.

Day 6: The National Museum, Hydropolis, and the University
A slower indoor day. Day 7: Nadodrze and a near-free farewell
After six days mixing free sights with three paid day trips, close the week on the cheapest day of the whole plan. Walk Nadodrze, the arty district north of the Odra, free; then the Oder islands and Sand Island (Wyspa Piasek) near Ostrów Tumski, also free. Spend an hour finishing the dwarf hunt in corners of the Old Town you skipped earlier. Close with a farewell dinner in the Four Denominations District.

Getting around on 7 days: what needs booking ahead
Days 1, 2, 6, and 7 are mostly walkable plus one or two tram rides; a 24-hour MPK pass (about 15 PLN, verify) helps on your busiest transit days. Days 3, 4, and 5 all need regional transport out of the city, none covered by the city transit pass. Full fare details are in the main Wrocław guide .
