Abu Dhabi for Couples: Sunset, Palace, Marina
Travel advisory: Couples planning a special trip should weigh the current security situation. The UAE has been affected by the 2026 conflict involving the United States and Iran: Iranian missiles and drones were aimed at the country from 28 February, and shrapnel from intercepted missiles landed in parts of Abu Dhabi. The British FCDO says there have been strikes and retaliatory attacks in the region since 8 July, with a risk of more. The FCDO does not advise against travel to the UAE, though the US State Department lists it at Level 3, “Reconsider Travel”. Airports and attractions are running, yet things can change fast, and phone alerts may send you indoors until an all-clear. Do not film strikes or interceptions, which is against UAE law. Find the latest on the FCDO’s UAE page and the US State Department’s UAE page , and book flexibly. Ideas below are for a calm visit.

Evening: the Louvre dome

Couples wanting something more active can book the 60-minute dome kayak, which runs Tuesday to Sunday for about AED 126.

Qasr Al Watan stages Palace in Motion, an after-dark light show. One listing restricts it to weekends, so check the palace’s page . Palace tickets are about AED 65.

A night away
