Things to Do in St. Moritz All Year
St. Moritz is a resort town in the Upper Engadin, high in the Swiss Alps at about 1,822 m. Winter sport defines it, since the town staged the Winter Olympics in 1928 and 1948, but the lifts and trails work in summer too. All prices here are in Swiss francs (CHF). Dates change with the season, so use the operator sites linked below for the final word.

Skiing
Three ski areas surround the town. Corviglia and Piz Nair sit above St. Moritz Dorf, Corvatsch is reached from the Surlej valley station, and Diavolezza has a cable car of its own. In 2026 Corviglia starts early on 27 November for season-pass holders, with general opening shortly afterwards. Diavolezza usually begins its winter around 19 December. Season-pass and day-pass prices for 2026/27 depend on dates and packages such as Sleep + Ski and Snow-Deal, so look at mountains.ch when you book. Two funiculars between St. Moritz Dorf and Corviglia were overhauled in summer 2026, so confirm they are running before you plan your first day around them.
Corvatsch Snow Night
On Fridays from 4 December 2026 until April, a 4.2 km piste on Corvatsch is lit for evening skiing. Adults pay CHF 38 for the evening ticket or CHF 28 for the early session from 19:00 to 21:00. Children aged 6 to 12 pay CHF 23 or CHF 20. A season pass is CHF 115 for adults and CHF 68 for children. You buy the tickets at the Surlej valley station. The prices are on the Snow Night page .
Muottas Muragl sled run
The toboggan run at Muottas Muragl is the public place to sled in St. Moritz. It is about 4.2 km long with 20 turns, and it descends roughly 715 m. A run is about CHF 43 and hiring a sled adds about CHF 20.
Olympia Bob Run
Between St. Moritz and Celerina, the Olympia Bob Run sells guest rides in a bobsleigh driven by a licensed crew. A ride costs CHF 269 per person. You must be 16 or older. Under-18s need a guardian to sign, and guests aged 70 or over bring a medical confirmation. Book through olympia-bobrun.ch .
Cresta Run
The Cresta Run is a private club track. Riders go alone and head first, one at a time, so there is no seat for a passenger. First-timers book a practice session in the online calendar at cresta-run.com and start from Junction. The club says it was founded in 1887, and the first completed run was in January 1885.
Summer outdoors
When the snow melts, the cable cars become sightseeing lifts. In 2026 adult returns cost CHF 64 to Corvatsch, CHF 46 to Diavolezza and CHF 39 to Furtschellas. On Lake Silvaplana, wind sports are a summer draw because the afternoon wind builds up.
Mountain safety
The daily avalanche bulletin is at whiterisk.ch . Carry a transceiver, probe and shovel off the piste, and use a certified mountain guide.
