Tips
- Dress for wind and wet even in summer, and take the equipment the guide gives you.
- Reynisfjara, close to Vík, has sneaker waves that can reach far up the sand. Keep well back from the water, never turn your back on the sea and keep off the basalt columns.
- Check safetravel.is before you leave, and call 112 in an emergency.
