Museum Passes and Boat Tours in Nessebar
Organised attraction tours are a small part of Nessebar. The town works best as a do-it-yourself visit, with a ticket desk, a handful of paid sites and a few reseller tours for wine, boats and a ferry day to Sozopol. Where to buy
The Archaeological Museum at 2A Mesembria Street, just past the town gate, sells entry for the paid sites and the combined passes. Buy there, and politely decline offers from people on the street. Children pay about half price.

Choosing a ticket
- Short on time: the museum and St Stephen together, 7.67 euros for adults, cover the main collection and the painted church.
- Church lover: all churches and the windmill, 13.29 euros, or the seven-site pass at 17.90 euros, which saves about 4.60 euros over singles.
- Budget: the free sights include the St Sophia ruins, the Eleusa basilica ruins, the western walls and gate, and the exterior of St John Aliturgetos.
Christ Pantocrator and the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel are closed for conservation, so none of these tickets includes them.
Reseller tours
- A Nessebar tour with a wine tasting, and an audio guide tour with a winery visit, appear on Expedia and Musement.
- Captain Jack’s half-day boat tour, with lunch, leaves Nessebar South Port at 09:20 for about 44 euros for adults.
- A catamaran cruise from Sunny Beach and Nessebar costs about 54 euros including lunch and transfer.
- A guided fast-ferry day to Sozopol leaves from Nessebar harbour in season. Crossings can be cancelled in rough weather, so keep the day flexible.
Timing
Small churches and the windmill pause for lunch in high season, so schedule them for morning or late afternoon. From mid-October to March, small churches open only by arrangement.
