Day 3: Squamish and the Sea to Sky Gondola

Day 4: Victoria and Butchart Gardens, the foot-passenger way
Foot passenger on BC Ferries , roughly CAD 21 one-way against CAD 89 for a vehicle. Budget the full day, 3.5-4 hours each way door to door, and pick one of Butchart Gardens or the Royal BC Museum.
Day 5: Whistler, split the drive
Highway 99 keeps climbing past Squamish for another 60-odd kilometres to Whistler, 120-125km and about 2 hours total from downtown; no passenger rail reaches Whistler at all, only self-drive, shuttle, or tour. Split a rental car three or four ways and the drive runs closer to CAD 10-15 per person than the CAD 60-plus a solo renter pays, or book the shuttle or day tour from the box above. Whistler Village rewards an afternoon of lift-accessed hiking or biking in summer; a ski day realistically wants an overnight rather than a single-day round trip.
