Estonia Romantic Getaways: Spa Hotels and Cabins
Estonia has only a few places that are built for couples, so this page lists them plainly and then adds some free walks. Room rates move with the season and are not quoted here. Any price that appears is in euro.
Places to stay
- Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa, Lahemaa. A manor complex from the 16th century, restored by 2012, with a spa and restaurants. It is open in 2026 and is a convenient base for the Viru Bog trail and the Palmse and Sagadi manors.
- Georg Ots Spa Hotel (GOSPA), Kuressaare. Open all year, with 92 rooms. Pools and saunas come with the room, and the castle and the marina are a short walk away. Treatments are priced separately, so check the hotel’s own pages.
- Hedon Spa & Hotel, Pärnu. Housed in the neoclassical mud baths building at Ranna pst 1, completed in 1927. Ask the hotel about its spa programme and prices.
- ÖÖD mirror cabins. Two locations are open for booking: Laheranna by Ihasalu Bay in Jõelähtme parish, and Rõuge beside Lake Suurjärv. Reserve ahead. The booking site is stayood.com .
To compare these towns by room type and date, see Estonia spa hotels on Booking.com .
An evening in a smoke sauna
The smoke sauna of south-east Estonia is part of UNESCO’s intangible heritage list. Mooska farm in Haanja holds sessions of at least 3 hours for groups of up to 8, starting at about €350 per group, and booking is in advance only. Ask whether a booking for two is accepted. The farm’s website is mooska.eu .
Free ways to spend time together
- Tallinn Old Town: free to wander, and uneven cobbles call for flat shoes.
- Kadriorg Park: free. The palace beside it houses the Kadriorg Art Museum, at €15 for adults and €10 for concessions.
- Pirita promenade: about 2 km beside the bay.
- Toompea platforms: Kohtuotsa is a popular place for sunset.
- Pärnu beach promenade: pair it with a look at the Rannahotell, which opened in 1937.
- Christmas market, Tallinn: 20 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, in Town Hall Square.
Timing
The sea is usually only comfortable in July and August. Winter nights are long and cold, which suits the sauna and spa stays. Snow tyres are required on cars from 1 December to 15 March if you rent a car.
Adding a rainy day
For a day indoors, the Estonian National Museum in Tartu is open Tuesday to Sunday, and a Tallinn museum such as KUMU is closed on Mondays.
