Paphos Attractions and Guided Excursions
Planning paid attractions around Paphos mostly means choosing between ancient sites, boat trips and family parks. This guide sets them side by side. Fees are 2026 euro figures, and the parks publish their own seasons.
Ancient sites run by the Department of Antiquities
| Site | Fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Kato Paphos Archaeological Park | EUR 4.50 | Roman mosaic houses, Odeon, harbour side |
| Tombs of the Kings | EUR 2.50 extra | A separate site about 2 km north |
| Paphos Castle | EUR 2.50 | Harbour fort, groups over 10 get 20% off |
| Palaepaphos, Kouklia | EUR 4.50 | Includes the local museum |
Multi-site cards cost EUR 8.50 (1 day), EUR 17 (3 days) and EUR 25 (7 days). Summer hours at the park, the Tombs and the Castle are 08:30 to 19:30 daily (16 April to 15 September), and winter hours are 08:30 to 17:00 (16 September to 15 April). Closing days are 25 December, 1 January and Orthodox Easter Sunday. Fees and hours can change, so confirm them on the Department of Antiquities site .
Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark
This is the water park on the Kato Paphos coast, with slides and a lazy river. Seasons and fees change, so the waterpark’s own site is the place to check them before you travel.
Pafos Zoo
The zoo is at Agios Georgios, Peyia, north-west of Paphos. You will need a car or a taxi to get there. See the zoo website for opening dates and ticket prices.
Boat cruises
At Latchi harbour, Blue Lagoon cruises take about 2.5 to 3 hours and tickets begin around EUR 20 for adults. Nafsika II is a Latchi cruise boat. Latchi is roughly 40 km north of Paphos, so most visitors drive or take a tour transfer. Boats also sail from Kato Paphos harbour, where glass-bottom and catamaran trips are listed.
Guided 4x4 tours into the Akamas
The track from the Baths of Aphrodite towards Fontana Amorosa is unpaved, with steep cliff-edge sections. Quad and buggy accidents have been reported, including one fatal buggy fall in August 2021. Rental car insurance usually excludes unpaved tracks, and environmental groups have criticised uncontrolled access. A guided 4x4 tour with a trained driver, or a boat from Latchi, is the sensible way to see the coast. Never take a quad or buggy on the track without a guide.
Tips
- Visit the archaeological sites early, because they have little shade.
- Winter hours apply from 16 September, so closing time is 17:00 instead of 19:30.
- Free entry applies to the Archaeological Museum of the Pafos District in Ktima, which is closed on Mondays.
- Reduced and free ticket categories exist at sites. Ask at the gate rather than assuming.
