Latchi Cruise and Tour Booking Checklist
Organised attractions in Latchi are almost all boat trips, and several firms sell near-identical products. A short checklist helps you compare them. The harbour is on Chrysochou Bay, and the Blue Lagoon lies along the Akamas coast to the west.
1. Which boat and which operator
The firms that run shared cruises from the harbour are Cyprus Mini Cruises (boats Nafsika II and Koulla, plus private boats), Alkion with its glass-bottom boat, Paphos Sea Cruises and Latchi Queen. Look for the boat name on your ticket, and confirm the meeting point, because Alkion sells tickets from an office at the harbour marked Alkion II.
2. Departure time and length
The Cyprus Mini Cruises website lists Nafsika II departures at about 10:15 and 13:00, each around 2.5 hours, plus a sunset barbecue cruise from 16:00. The Koulla runs a four-hour trip with a Cypriot barbecue between about 10:30 and 14:30. In general a shared trip lasts 2.5 to 3 hours, and the crossing is 30 to 45 minutes each way. Ask for the time of the first sailing if you want fewer boats in the bay.
3. What the price includes
Aggregator sites show shared trips from about EUR 15 and four-hour barbecue trips from about EUR 20, and one listing gives Nafsika II at EUR 25 per adult. Treat these as a range of about EUR 15 to 25. Ask whether drinks, food, snorkel gear and child fares are part of the ticket, and read the cancellation terms.
4. Glass bottom and extras
The Alkion glass-bottom tours add a viewing panel, and a water slide shows up in its listings. Reviewers say there is little to see beyond the swim stop, so choose by price and timing rather than by the glass. Do not expect a slide on every boat.
5. Weather and season
The main season is roughly May to October. Strong wind cancels sailings, so book a day with spare time after it and ask about refunds or a rebooking.
6. Combined and land tours
Combined Baths of Aphrodite and Blue Lagoon days are sold online and often start from Paphos. From Latchi you can build your own: sail in the morning, then reach the Baths by bus 622, taxi or car. Guided 4x4 Akamas safaris mostly depart from Paphos and Coral Bay. Rental contracts usually exclude unpaved roads, so a guided vehicle is the way to reach the rough track beyond the Baths. Avakas Gorge has been closed to visitors since 6 December 2025, so any tour that lists it should be questioned.
7. No coach tours in the village
Latchi has no coach sightseeing tours. Use the harbour boats, bus 622 or a taxi.
